Location
Gila River, Arizona
Duration
2018 - 2023
Size & Scope
55,000 SF; $2,000,000 FF+E
This new three story behavior health facility was built for a group of Native American Tribes in Arizona. As the lead interior designer for the project, I worked closely with the Architect and the Native American Representatives to provided building finish and FF+E documents throughout the design phases.
Building finishes where selected and specified within the standards of the Native American Tribe requirements as well as healthcare standards for cleanability and durability. However, we also needed to keep the finishes feeling soft and inviting due to the nature of Behavior Health therapy. In order to this, I proposed a carpet option that met the cleanability requirements.
The FF+E finishes followed the same requirements and where chosen in calming colors and durable finishes so the space met the standards of the Tribes while also presenting a nice calming effect on the clients coming into the building.
