Government Office Space

As an interior designer, I work to create beautiful and functional office space for businesses and organizations. For this federal office space I worked with a team of interior designers and architects to develop a functional office space. For this project I worked under more senior designers to select finishes, complete the FF&E package, create supporting documentation, and oversee the purchasing of furniture using Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR). I learned to create a space that will bring together the architecture and the furniture of a space to create a unifying look. I tailor my services to each client's individual needs, ensuring that their space looks great and functions optimally.

When selecting finishes for an interior design project, it is important to consider the overall design intent of the building as well as the end user's needs. For this project, my team and I chose a color scheme with four accent colors for different sections of the building, including the executive suite and common areas. Durability and cleanability were must-haves due to the nature of the end users' jobs involving construction site verifications. I created multiple color boards throughout the project to present to the end user and to ensure that all finishes would coordinate with the building selection. With this comprehensive approach, my team and I were able to create an interior design that met the needs of the end user and the overall design intent of the building.
